How to get attributes Quantity/price to work with shipping table rate

Hi, I have set my product (using the attributes) so that there is a dropdown box with the quantity/price.
ie.,
100g = £1.80
200g = £2.40
etc.

I have set the product price to 0 and the product weight to 0.

I have then set the shipping module table rate to .1:2.40,.25:3.10,.5:3.65,1:4.50,1.25:5.45 etc.

If input a weight for each product, then it calculates the correct shipping. No problems. BUT if I add a product that has the quantity/price attribute (I cannot assign the product a weight because they can choose which how much), then it ignores the weight and does not assign any shipping cost.

How can I get this to work? Thank you.

In your Attributes Manager there is a facility to increment BOTH price AND weight for any given product to which that Option is assigned.

It appears you are incrementing PRICE, but have not put in a value to increment the WEIGHT.

Take a good look at the large grey "attributes" box in Attributes Controller and pay particular attention to the Price and Weight input fields...
