Chinese appeas to be installed - not visible

I appear to have Chinese language installed ok. On the front page in the classic template I can select between the three languages I have here. English, Arabic and Chinese. Each with its own little flag.
English works ok. Arabic works ok. But when I click on the Chinese, it presents me with a blank screen.
Chinese doesn't appear to have its own template as well? bUt should use the default one anyway.
It occurs to me that it may require me to be running on a Chinese OS, Chinese-XP like that...

However, it would be nice to get it going.
This is only a test bed at this stage, so I can hack it about - or even reinstall the whole thing if I like.

thanks for any help

Hi, I had it all installed as I mentioned. Double check the directories and so on, so then went to the Admin controls and Added a new language.

You have to type in the following.
From the menu, select Localization -> Languages
Select [New Language]
In the Edit window, add the following

Edit Language
Please make any necessary changes

Name: Chinese

Code: cn

Image: icon.gif

Directory: schinese <---- note the spelling.

Sort Order: 2

Set as default. (Yes or no as you desire.)

Then click [Update]

You don't need to add a template because it uses the default, or any other template you add.
If you add a template don't forget to go the template control window and click [Reset]

Hope that helps
cheers
