Removing category image (small icon) from a category page

Hi

If I click on any category i get a page showing products in that category. There is an icon of the category image at the top of that page.

I want to remove it.

I tried commenting the lines out of tpl_modules_category_icon_display.php but i dont think that is the right file, it doesnt work.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of that pesky icon since it is way too small and Id rather get rid of it and have more text area for some seo friendly text for the category.

In the admin, under Configuration >> Product Listing.

Right at the bottom, you ahve 2 options. The first is Include Product Listing Sub Categories Image and the next is Include Product Listing Top Categories Image. Just set both of these to FALSE.

I want to thank you, Absolute, for explaining where to turn off the category and subcategory icons. That's exactly what I'm looking for, and I never would have found it!

Hi - I am having the same problem and tried turning both of those features off but the small image still appears. Any suggestions ?

Which template are you using? Is it a custom one or the standard classic?
