How to Temporarily disable gift certificate?

I have despatched some gift certificates to a customer (printed out ones I've produced using my own email address) Unfortunately there has been a problem with payment and until this is sorted I would like to disable the gift certificates I sent. (I want to keep other gift certificates working) Does anyone know how to do this.
I'm using version 1.3.8a and the gift certificates are all unredeemed in the "gift certificates sent" section. Thanks:blink:

You could edit the coupons table and browse it for these Gift Certificates, you will see the field:
coupon_active

Change from Y to X ...

Now it cannot be redeemed ...

Later, if you want them active, just change from X to Y ...:smile:
