Order total threshold for multiple ebay accounts for one shopping cart

Hmmm ... I've done a bunch of testing, and I can't recreate your symptoms using the original code I posted on Jan 11.

And, I'm gonna retract the code edit I posted on June 2, because IT WILL actually cause the symptoms you're reporting.

Re: Order total threshold for multiple ebay accounts for one shopping cart

HI Dr. Byte,

zen cart 1.3.9h

We are a paypal Website Payments Standard user and would like to lower the costs on our small orders. Would this be the directions on how to incorporate micropayments into our cart?

Thank you. Quick question, sort of related. If we wanted to switch to paypal completely for credit card transactions rather than using another processor, would this scenario with express and micropayments still work? I cannot find the fee for accepting credit cards under the express option at paypal. We are hoping to cut some of the processing costs (that are quite high for low dollar items)

Re: Order total threshold for multiple ebay accounts for one shopping cart

NOTE: To use MicroPayments, you need to create a MicroPayments account at PayPal.

And, if you want to accept Credit Cards via PayPal (note: Express Checkout will accept credit cards, always, but if you want to accept credit cards by providing Credit Card fields on your site ...) like a regular gateway does, then you'll need to also subscribe to PayPal's Website Payments Pro service. Contact PayPal for details about how the services work together. Your fee structure will be determined by you and PayPal establishing a rate. Whether that is less expensive than another provider (it almost always is), is up to you and them to decide, and we can't give you those answers here, because it's not up to us.

Oh :) I know that you guys don't determine that. I just wanted to know if it would all mesh. I really appreciate your time, Dr Byte. You have always been so helpful and you are most appreciated! :)

They have also launched Website Payments Advanced which has features we are interested in... will there possibly be a paypal module forthcoming for this product?

I doubt it. I gather you've not yet talked to PayPal about these questions you're asking.

Re: Order total threshold for multiple ebay accounts for one shopping cart

Yes, I actually have. :) I was on the phone with them quite a bit today and talked to a Sales Rep at the last. :)

If we want to do credit cards and have them process through paypal's gateway(with a look that is really close to our cart rather than just a paypal secure processing page) we will want to use their latest new product called Website Payments Advanced. If we want to use them for credit card processing with a secure processing page with just our logo and paypal's logo, then we use website payments standard. Both of these two products would, in fact, support the child account which is micropayments. :)

I assume you guys haven't heard of websites payments advanced, yet then??

side note: To use paypal express with micropayments is no problem at all... but if we want to go with paypal for our credit card processing also, it is what I said above :)

And it's not really the topic of this discussion thread.

Yes, I think I said the same previously.

What I wasn't certain about was whether PayPal would let you use the reduced-fee MicroPayments service with their gateway service (Pro or Advanced).
Thanks for clarifying.
