new products month language and other

Hi, i have zencart 1.3.8 with the classic theme, i have my site in 3 languages, english, spanish and catalan, my problem is with the language of the month that i see in the first page on "new products for:" in spanish i see "nuevos productos para january", you can see that the month on the spanish phrase is in english!, and if i try to see my site in catalan i see "nous productes per a enero" the phrase in catalan and the month in spanish!!! can any one help me to fix this? thanks.

I would just remove the reference to the month altogether if you don't mind and just show "Nuevos productos del mes" or just "Nuevos productos".

I'm new to Zen Cart so I would wait for confirmation from a more experienced user before making any change, but you can set this text in the language files.

For example in the spanish.php file look for TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS and change that line to:

define('TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS', 'Nuevos productos');

And then, in new_products.php change this:

      $title = '<h2 class="centerBoxHeading">' . sprintf(TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS, strftime('%B')) . ($category_title != '' ? ' - ' . $category_title : '' ) . '</h2>';
    } else {
      $title = '<h2 class="centerBoxHeading">' . sprintf(TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS, strftime('%B')) . '</h2>';
    }

to this:

$title = '<h2 class="centerBoxHeading">' . TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS. ($category_title != '' ? ' - ' . $category_title : '' ) . '</h2>';
    } else {
      $title = '<h2 class="centerBoxHeading">'.TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS. '</h2>';
    }

This is the easy solution but i'm seeking for the correct solution, to put the month on the correct language. Thanks

Then, in your spanish.php language file look for the setlocale line and change it to:

@setlocale(LC_TIME, 'es_ES.ISO_8859-1');

And, in your Catalan language file change your setlocale to

@setlocale(LC_TIME, 'ca_ES.ISO_8859-1');

Now i'm seeking for put the first letter of the month in capital letters, in english i see January but in spanish i see enero not Enero......

I believe this is due to the fact that months in Spanish are undercaps unless they are the first word of the sentence.

D you know where the months are located?

The months are not within Zen Cart as far as I know, they are generated dynamically by the server.
