Barcode product field not working

I followed the instructions to install this addon and it is not showing up in the new product form.

It seems that I installed the wrong package, I reinstalled it and it is now working. However, how do I see the barcode generated?

This modual just adds a field to the Product template to allow a field called "Barcode", it dosnt generate barcodes.

As far as I can see, it adds the barcode field to the product with no problem and you can scan the bar code into the barcode field in the product info.

However, the search in Admin, "Catalog", Categoreis/Products
doesn't seem to work with the barcode. But it doesn't work with the product name either.

Maybe I have a bug elsewhere because no search for a product name finds the product itself.
At best, you can search for a category but searching for a product by name produces a

Categoreis 0
Products 0

result.
Anyone else got this problem or the solution?
