Display Categories In Separate Boxes

I would like to know if this will work in 1.5.1 . I am looking to separate the categories out some . Like this Photography ( as the header) and the artists under it . then Scrap Kits and the artists under it and also themes and such . then Greeting Cards and the list under it

I want it to have the same idea as the included Category box that is already there though want to use the set up as above instead

It will probably work, as the categories display hasn't changed in years, though you would have to install a clone of the files for each one of your top categories, with filenames and CSS tags and stylesheets renamed for each to be unique. I think it would be easier to use Categories Dressing, which can accommodate all this with just an added define and possibly a stylesheet rule for each new top category.

Hello,
Any idea how to change this side box to drop down display?
