How to store balance credits for future purchases?

i am looking to set up an online store with zencart that will allow a user to store credit on their account for future purchases. Instead of buying something on the fly i want them to be able to apply moeny they already have in their account to whatever they choose to buy from the store. Is this possible with zencart and if so how do i go about accomplishing this? Thanks in advance for any help...

Use the Gift Certificate feature

Your customer would purchase a gift certificate.
then once they comein and validate it it becomes a stored funds account.

how do i associate the product with the gift certificate. or how do i add a gift certificate and make it show up in the store as a product.... Thanks again man for all your help.

create a new product named GIFT_{your variable here}
