Multi Location shipping

I want to offer shipping from 2 locations (PA & ID) Is there a way we can have The shopping cart by default choose the location from which the item would ship the cheapest?

I would need to set it up on an item by item basis as I don't stock everything in both locations...

Also if they purchase a number of items & 1 or more is not stocked in both locations it would only be able to give shipping option from the location that stocks all items.

Is there any provision for this in zen-cart or any addons available that would do this?

You're looking at a lot of custom coding.

Try Googling ceon advanced shipping - I haven't used it, but it's supposed to be very good.
