My admin: You entered the wrong username or password.

Hi, I've installed Zencart via my host and I can navigate the default store.

When I go to mydomain/zencart/admin and try to log in I see the message 'You entered the wrong username or password'.

I have reset the password, but the new one emailed to me does the same thing. I assume the fact that it emailed me a new password means I am trying to log in using the correct email address?

I'm a complete beginner at this I'm afraid so I'd appreciate any pointers (as dumb as you can make them) to what I should try.

If it helps, this will be a very basic store with all payments being processed by PayPal, so I'm hoping that means I won't need to get involved with any complex security technologies?

Generally, you wouldn't use an email address as your admin login name.

I had this problem also and I reinstalled. Not sure how it was fixed on the second install. But after the second install I had immediate access to the admin site. Now I have a new problem.

You are right, turns out my admin login 'email address' was actually just 'admin' :rolleyes:

This is going to be a long slow road isn't it... :cry:
