Discount on quantity of different products

I offer a product that people what to buy one of these and one of those and another one or two of something else. I want to offer a discount of say 4 of any same or different items for $20. But not all of my products qualify for discounts.

I've tried what Linda suggests in this thread but it's not based on quantity.

The Products Price Manager would be exactly what I want but to I need it to be category wide instead of item by item.

I've looked at and installed the (Quantity Discount mod but it won't let me define a single category.

Any suggestions... I've searched, installed, tested, tried again to no avail, I surely cannot be the only one that wants to do this.

I am having the same issue. We have retail prices and team prices (qty 6 or more). The amount of discount is different for every product. A general percentage causes odd prices, and a general dollar amount could discount both too much and/or too little.

Example: Baseball pants style BSP2Y are $12.95/pair Retail Price, but if someone purchases 6 or more of the BSP2Y pants (regardless of size mix) we would sell them at a Team Price of $10.00/pair.

I've already got the Stock by Attributes working beautifully, and the Product Attribute Grid has made it easier for customers to order their whole team's sizes in one step. (i.e. 2-S, 4-M, 3-L, 1-XL added to the cart all at once from one page)

I'm sure someone can help us both solve our problem!
