[Done 1.3.9a]When Manually Collect Funds With Paypal Express/IPN fees not shown in db

When Paypal is set on automatic fund retrieval it works correctly and shows how much Paypal charged for the order and/or shows how much money was refunded from a refund.... though when PayPal is set on Manual Collection of Funds the fees are not being populated into the database on collection of refund.

What do you mean by "Manual Collection of Funds"?

When **Authorization Type is set to Authorize as opposed to **Authorize+Capture

I guess I should have said manual capture of funds....

Okay. You started out by talking about "fees" as well. Are you referring to PayPal's service charges for processing payments?

Yes, when a authorize & capture takes place the fees are collected on our database tables.... this also happens on refunds... but when the capture occurs manually the fees are not collected in the database tables... same for refunds.

Sorry, I usually associate the word "fees" with "service charges". You seem to be equating "fees" with "money received as revenue from sales"? Thus my confusion.

No, I am referring to "fees".... when on auto collect we can see this information in the database from paypal payments. When in manual mode we cannot. This information is typically held in the PAYPAL.MC_FEE column.

The fees are likely listed with the parent transaction record, but I've not looked. It's never surfaced as an important factor.
All the transaction details including fees charged, can be viewed in much more usable detail from within your PayPal account.
