Flat rate shipping not working

Hi again,

I'm wanting to do an opening promo offering $1 shipping. I have removed all other shipping modules but the flat rate still isn't working. Doesn't matter what I do I keep having the orange light showing. Anyone have any idea's?

Do you have a Zone set on this shipping module?

The yellow or orange icon means that either there is a problem -- or -- that there is a filter or Zone on the shipping module ...

I just tried to complete an order on a test account and it is telling me 'Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time'. I am in Australia, and trying to ship to an Australian address. In the shipping module, I have it set to australia. When I remove 'Australia' from the shipping module, it goes green. What am I missing here? What do I need to change/check, and where is it?

Check your Zone definition for Australia and make sure that you have defined it correctly as:
Country: Australia

Zone: All Zones

If I go to Admin/Locations Taxes/Zones Definitions, I have Country: Australia, and Zone: All Zones.

I am convinced that it is a Zone issue (obviously) but I don't know where or why.

You are missing the following classes, at least, from your stylesheet:

.hiddenField {
display: none;
}
.visibleField {
display: inline;
}

On create account there is a place for a required State ... but on the Shipping Estimator you have no place for a State ... yet you have states defined for Australia ...

When I create an account and make an Australia address I get a Flat rate quote ...

I also get one for my US address ...

I tried adding every state in Australia for the Zones under Australia. When I set the shipping zone in the 'Flat Rate' Module' it goes back to orange. I have no idea why. What am I missing?

Also, how could I set up $1 flat rate shipping in Australia (if I ever get that sorted), but have my 'Aussie Post' module control shipping prices for international shipping? My 'Aussie Post' module works fine for both international and domestic shipping, but how would I set it so that if it's an Australian address, it goes through the flat shipping, but international through the Aussie Post?

Anytime you add a zone to a shipping module ... the icon with be YELLOW rather than GREEN ... this means you have a ZONE set on it ... so this is normal ...

That's what I'm wanting, but the problem is that I'm just wanting it for Australia. When I change the 'Shipping Zone' from 'None' to 'Australia' it changes the light from green to orange.

I think I just worked it out.

I removed 'All Zones' from the 'Zone Definitions' and replaced it with the states. So now I have 8 zones under the 1 country. It seems to have done the trick. I'll test it further today and see how it goes.

I'll reply after the testing to let you know if it is a solution.

I have also discovered that the tax was being applied twice and since removing 'All Zones' it is now only applied once.
