Products not searchable when inserted with Easy Populate

Issue with Easy Populate (Version 1.2.5.4) for Zen-cart (Version 1.3.8a)

I cannot find a product inserted by EZ populate and using the integrated catalog search in Admin (Category->Categories/Products) with keywords which are present either in products name or product model.

Nevertheless I can find the ones which were inserted manually (Not inserted by EZ Populate) and also I can find products inserted with EZ Populate with the integrated public search of the e-commerce website. Strange! no?

Import easy populate file with fields in "General" format code is saved as (tab) .csv file in unicode-utf8 with Open Office.

Any ideas will be well appreciated

Do an export
Open file and compaqre data for a manual versus one you inserted with EP
Must be missing some item used for indexing

Yes indeed. It's a good advice.
I did open the dump exported file with OpenOffice and Excel to compare both product entries.
Not seen any difference between the two kind of products (Inserted with EP and Not)
Both entries have "General" as format code.

i seem to be having a similar problem i manually enter products and easy populate kicks out the headers only but no data???
