Shipping from different warehouses

Hi,

I need some advice on shipping. My client's products will be shipped from different warehouses in different locations depending on the order. My client wants the ability to let the customer know what the shipping charge will be after the customer orders from the site but before the customer pays for the order. In other words, the shipping will be added to the order after the client looks up what the shipping charge will be from a particular warehouse.

What is the best way to tackle this situation?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Inform them that while they think this is a good policy that I and many others will pack up our cards and go elsewhere to a site that has a handle on this and can quote on the site what the shipping will be.

Pricing being what it is I can not shop and compare prices with out knowing what the shipping will be. Can not be bothered calling or waiting for an email with the fees when others provide them on site

Re: Shipping from different warehouses

Tell your client that unless they have some specialty product to justify this practice, they shouldn't plan on making many sales.

I have the same situation. I just accept that sometimes I'll have to eat some shipping charges. On the one hand, it sux. On the other hand, I'm getting the customers and working on long-term relationships. I'd rather break even on a sale than let them go to a competitor.
