image will not appear!

I would really appreciate some help please.

I have the latest version of zen. I'm trying to replace the main center page image and link. I placed my image in the same folder that the original image is (e-book-start.gif). What happens is that the alt text shows up and the link works, however, the image does not display.

I replaced other images in the same folder to see if it would work and it does, but none of my images display.

What am I doing wrong?

What are some of the image names you can not see?

I can't see any of the images that I placed in the same folder as the image that appears (...Have you got yours yet...)

When I replace the e-book-start.gif with any image I put in, only the alt text shows up, yet I tried with the 9_small_LRG.jpg that was also in the folder that image did appear. It seems to be only images that I have uploaded that don't work.

Just loading an image to the server does not cause it to be displayed...
What are you attempting to get them displayed?

What are some of the image names you can not see?
What image type are they?
If jpg's - What is the color "mode"?
Need to be rgb and not cymk
