I search some similar topics, it seems that by calling js can make it, but anyone can give some instruction how to use js, or any tutorial? or any other add-on can be used? thanks

If you scroll down the page to the similar threads section, there are several threads that might help you out.

thanks for your reply
I find a js named "Ultimate Fade-in slideshow (v2.1)" which is from http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex14/fadeinslideshow.htm
in the instruction, it says "Simply add the below code inside the <HEAD> section of the page", but where shall I put this code?
is there anyone can explain how to install it in Zen Cart?
thanks

I'm very happy with some slideshow code that I found. All you have to do is paste the code onto the define_main_page
Here's the thread that has the code and explains what I did:

I'm using the slideshow to put sale announcements or to feature certain products. It works great!
This slideshow doesn't have transition affects, but it works very smoothly so I don't think it matters. I tried working with some similar javascript codes but they had behavior problems. This particular one is really a gem, in my opinion.

You could also put the slideshow code in any of the banner positions.
I'm very happy with this code. It's very easy.
If you want transition effects, then you'll need to use a more complicated code. If I find a way to do it, I will update that thread.
For now, I decided that transition effect is not so important.
