Delete products/categories BUT not the images?

I need some help?

I run the data feed regularly on my site but unfortunately feed does not have option to auto delete obsolete items and update existing one, the only way i am managing is deleting all products/categories and run a fresh feed to get all new products etc, now every time i do this i have to upload 10,000 images as well, is there an option in zencart where it only deletes the products/categories but not the images?

The default admin delete does not remove the images

Use your FTP client and check your /images and you should find that the images are still present

Thanks for hint, i will check on next update through FTP either images stay or get deleted. One thing for sure happens that Taxable Goods parameter does not kick in with new feed, i have installed Exc/Inc vat module on my site, after new feed is run, prices for both inc/exl vat remain the same and as a result paypal refuses to process the payment, is there any way i can quickly turn "Taxable Goods" option on for all the products?

I updated the feed and notice on deleting products/categories images were deleted as well, now with new feed up ,i do not see images on site with products ???

I normally rename my images folder before a mass-delete like this...

I change /images/ to /images-safe/

After I have done the mass edit

I change it back to images again...

I tried renaming the images folder and deleted all the categories/products, it happened again , all the related images were deleted and i had to upload all 10,000 images again ?

Any idea what is going on wrong here?

Secondly i feed i get from my supplier, they do not have feature of automatically deleting obsolete products, can i do some thing with codes so that, items not in feed are deleted on feed re-run automatically, this will solve my problems of deleting all cat/prod and image deletion as well? plz help
