Side categories links ahove colour and width between links?

Hi
I need some help, been trying to change the width between the link of side products categories and also get ahover effect on them but no luck.

Add something like this to your stylesheet.css

#categoriesContent a:hover {color:#ff0000;}
#categoriesContent ul li {padding-top:10px}

Thanks stevesh , it worked , ahover for both site but spacing for only gift and perfume not sure why spacing did not work for pcit?

there is bit of gap(space) on left categories box between left column border and categories link, how can i reduce it? https://www.pcitshop.com
