Can I have all modules installed?

I have UPS for my next day air
USPS for smaller items
Flat Rat for people who dont want to pay over a certain amount for the UPS next day air

When I go to test the site with a 1lb item the only thing that shows up is my flat rate

Where are my other options :cry:

Do you have Zones set on your shiping module(s) ...

What weight are you testing with and what are the Ship From and Ship To addresses?

ok I have this in my 'zone' section is this correct? If it is its not working nothing is showing up on my calculate shipping. I even removed the US one time to see if that would work and it doesnt

You said you have UPS, USPS and Flat Rate shipping modules ... but now you are saying that you are using Zone Rate ...

What all shipping module(s) do you actually have installed?

1 Only have installed shipping module you are using, if not using them click on them and click REMOVE ... do not leave them set to disabled ...

2 If using Sort Orders on 1 or more shipping modules make sure that you use a Sort Order on ALL shipping modules and ALL shipping module Sort Orders must be unique ...

So if I primarily use UPS and occasionally USPS I need to get rid of the table and zone rate and turn them off?
if I use UPS how does my system know how much I am charging for shipping.
Am I supposed to add site info to my UPS account like I had to with USPS?

UPS and USPS obtain their information via Real Time quotes from the UPS and USPS servers ...

To use the USPS server you need the USPS Web Tools User ID in order to use their servers, this is why you are asked for it when you add the module ...

The UPS server does not require an id ...

As to using the Table Rate table and Zone Rate zones at the same time as UPS and/or USPS I really don't see the point for them as you are getting the quotes based on weight from UPS and USPS ... what would be the purpose of using Manual prices? :unsure:

Ok I turend off the zone and everything except the UPS and USPS I already have the USPS code in there but I am not worried about that right now.
The UPS is finally 'green' I must have done something right
Now when I pretend to purchase something its still comes up with just my $5.00 handling fee
am I supposed to go into my FTP files and put my own 5:45.00 ect. in there?

because 1 coral might weigh 1lb but it costs $45 to send it how does the UPS module know that

I have not done anything wiht my FTP files I am doing this all out of the zencart admin area.
Do I need to do something with FTP?
each coral weighs 1lb but I am using a heat pack as a 'test' and list it as 1lb my shipping options show up but they all say $0.00

I also double checked my currencies and deleted everything except my default USD

Am I supposed to put something in my FTP files to make this UPS work?!!

If you test a Physical Product with weight ... does it work?

Could you possibly answer my question about whether there is something currently in the products table, such as All Coral use the same master_categories_id or they use various master_categories_id and list them?

The shipping code needs to be customized, as in code added to it so that when the UPS shipping module is making a quote it adds on a charge for Coral ...

But without additional information that I have asked for, there is no way to begin to tell you what that code would be to customize the UPS shipping module and then FTP the "new customized" UPS shipping module to your site ...

Where is this 'master_catagory'?
I also dont have a UPS API which I contacted them to set that up that could be the problem
Question is...once i get that where do I Put it in that previous API in FTP that I posted?

Look in the Catalog ... Categories/Products ... are all of your Corals in the same Category?

If you edit them, you should see the Master Category referenced:

and either it will tell you the specific Category and its id or it will display it in a dropdown if you use Linked Products ...

Do ALL of your Coral use the same master_categories_id or, for instance, a group of 3 or 4 or whatever categories_id values?

In the Modules ... Shipping ... you have the UPS shipping module ... just install it and select the shipping methods or leave all checked ...

Once you figure out what Categories your Coral are in then perhaps we can look at the code you would need to customize the file:

to handle the shipping rate for Coral based on $45 for every quantity 10 Coral in the cart to be added to the UPS quote for anything else in the cart ...

When I click on products/catagories I have 9 folders named

Coral
Fish
Inverts
Live Rock
Live Sand

and so on...

When I click on the Coral folder I have 9 folders named

Aquacultured coral
Clams
LPS
Mushrooms/Ricordeas

and so on....

When I click on Aquacultured coral folder that is where my Aquacultured products would be showing to purchase

Which of these Categories hold the Coral that is 10 for $45 ...

Its all 10 per box basically
You can have 2 and your shipping is going to be the same as if someone was going to have 10 because 10 coral add up just under 5lb and UPS charges the same from 1-4lbs
So basically they can add anything coral they want up to 10 items per shipping box

It also does not HAVE to be $45 all my boxes are size 10x8x8 so I was hopeing that when they put their zip code in it would give them their rate
For that size box under 5lbs next day it usually runs the states around me $25-35 and east and west coast or some other in between states $40-55 so there is a big gap

That is why I really dont want to do flat rate because I like to give people the best price

Figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the configure, shipping option I had "Contact Me" in the masimum shipping weight so I changed it to "100" and it now shows my amounts in the shipping calculator
