Product purchased at wrong price - any ideas?

Hi

I have a customer who has a couple of orders in the past few weeks where a product was purchased at a much lower price than advertised on the site. When I add to cart it shows the right price. No coupons were added, yet the product order was for less.

Does anyone have any ideas? I told him someone must have changed the price in Admin, purchased it, then changed it back, but cant prove that, nor does he believe it.

So its very strange and wondered if anyone has heard of this happening before and what possible causes it could be. He thinks there is a problem with the Zencart.

Thanks a lot

I'm having a similar but opposite problem. I have a few products that when purchased the system ADDS $4! Maybe it's a similar fix????

Use your server logs to get a report of all IP addresses that have accessed your /admin section on the dates in question.

Check what else those IPs did on those days (though you might find nothing for this, if user changed IP in the meantime).

Does the product have attributes which add/lower to the cost? Are those attributes set as "defaults" ?

I would look at that first.
