Text attribute box contents and email confirmation borders

Some of my order confirmation emails look unprofessional as the words from a text attribute box can run over the right border of the email (and that pushes some other info over the right, like the item price).

This is the box used for customers to write a card message to the gift recipient and, after testing it, I realized the issue happens when the customer writes without hitting Enter/Return between lines. I use a little pop-up link above the box to inform them about spacing the message properly as on an actual card, but some don't see that.

Email looks fine when this is entered into the text box:

Dear Linda,

Happy Birthday and best wishes for many more!

Love,

David

Dear Linda, Happy Birthday and best wishes for many more! Love, David

Is there any way for the email confirmation to not let the text run over the border even if a customer does not space it properly?
