Two questions - units in stock on front and multi-emails

We want to have the units left in stock listed on the listings on front, not just when you click on the individual entry. Is that possible?

Also, we want to be able to have it send an email not just to us, the vendor, when a product is bought, but to the "manufacturer."

To clarify: we're vending gift certificates but not using the gift certificate software - people pick them up at the actual businesses, which I designated as manufacturers. They discount every day, but the stock is limited, so we need the amount on the front to encourage people to buy early. The email thing is less important, and given that they will often have an order with multiple manufacturers, I assume it's less likely to be doable.

latest version of zen cart, not upgraded, only "addon" installed is the latest payflow.php, which I've modified to add comments.

I am not surprised about the second part. The first part I had done, but somehow it didn't take, so I assumed that was not the right menu item. When I redid it it was fine.
