Will this work?

OK first post so please be gentle!

I'm putting together a wordpress.org site that will display photographs from a single portrait shoot or wedding etc., and am looking for an elegant solution to selling the images.

Ideally, the gallery will appear on the page and the client can scroll through them one at a time or as a slideshow. The one at a time route I'd like to create a drop down menu of products available which they'd click one option then choose quantity and when everything is done, they pay for the goods.

Can Zen-Cart operate in this way? I did try looking before posting this question but could put my finger on the answer. If it's already out there then I apologise in advance.

Re: Will this work?

If your question is if you can have the products on the blog site with buttons that add them to the Zencart site running in the background, no.

Generally, you would use Zencart as the main site and insert Wordpress (if you need it at all).

You can easily display the photos on Zencart, so unless you need the blog part for some reason, I'd omit it.

Assuming you already have the other part
If your offerings are atandard such 5X7, 8X10 etc with the the only difference being the clients ahots

Then with custom programming they could be collected and the full order transfered along with the purchaser to your cart for checkout/purchase.
