Medium sized images not showing up

Hi I have scoured the forums and read all the articles relating to image procedures. I am working locally on my laptop. I have faithfully applied all instructions regarding naming conventions etc for images and have them stored in zencart>images in their respective folders, ie large, medium and the tn scattered directly into the images folder with the other test images such as "free.gif". I have not made my thumbnails with the _small as this was said to be not necessary in the forums. I also have not put them in a small folder but sit directly in the images folder

I noticed that some of the test images in this folder have _small as the last part of their filename but others such as the free.gif do not.

Also with regards to front end look of page my product image sits hard up against the left hand column and if would like to add some padding in there .. which rule of the CSS does affect this, thanks for your time.

Could you give an example of how you named your images?

For the second question, do you mean the product listing or product info page? Have you installed a custom template?

Very difficult to answer questions about layout without seeing the site, which is why I usually recommend against a local installation.

Hi i have named images blahblah_LRG.jpg and blahblah_MED.jpg and i am sorry but i found the answer while i was writing to this forum and so modified my question and forgot to change the title. I had not set the Product Info - Image Width and Height in the back end admin - configuration>images to reflect the medium size. I am still unsure whether it is using the small image of 120x120 and upsizing it but I know its not using the large image when click for larger image is activated. This may also be due to not resizing the dimensions in the admin but I am unsure which of the image options it is, ie Image - Product Listing width and height OR Image - Product New Listing width and height OR etc. Also calculate image size is set to true.

I have an install of version 1.3.8a, I have created the appropriate folders CUSTOM and copied appropriate files into them.

I mean the product information page. Thanks for your help ... really appreciate it.

I'm having issues with medium and larger images. I only see one size of image.

My small images are 150x150, medium 250x250, large 350x350.

Path:
images/joez-small
images/medium/joez-medium
images/large/joez-large

I've think this is a path problem but can't figure out how/where to fix it.

Hey Joez, i am new zenner too but I know you have to name your images blahblah_LRG.jpg in the large folder and blahblah_MED.jpg in the medium folder. You also have to set the sizes in the admin section (back end). Configuration>Images. Hope this helps

Yes the images are named -m, -l and that is what I have set my images suffix to in admin, configuration, images.

I did try renaming to _MED, _LRG and putting them directly in the image folders (instead of joez-small etc.)

sorry Joe, cant help out here, dont know enuf myself. Did notice you have misspelt tire should be tyre for your ring. And i would get rid of the drop shadow? on your orion pendant. Site looks great though. Hope you find your answer with someone more knowledgeable. Jewelry is great too. Good Luck
