Search box not searching capitalized product name/model number

Hi Zen Cart,

I recently installed a fresh copy of Zen Cart (version 1.3.8a) on Blue Host. I added a few products with its model number, however, when I search for the product, it does not show up, unless I changed the name to all lower case.

I never experienced such strange problem before with Zen Cart on other server, could this be a database issue?

Your help is much appreciated.

Capitalized searches should not make a difference at all. Both of my shops perform normal when doing capitalized searches.

My guess: corrupted file(s) or DB

Thanks for your response frank18, it turns out, I installed the older version (1.3.8) via simple script and everything seems to work fine, so I assume something is wrong with the Zen Cart files Blue Host has..

If anyone else experience the same issue, I would recommend trying the same method by installing the previous Zen Cart version 1.3.8 instead of 1.3.8a (I believe it's called sp1) in simple script.
