merchant mod/add-on???

I have multiple merchants in my store and I was wondering if there is an add-on or module that can be added to the store for the merchants.

Cubecart has one that allows the merchant to upload their zipped item, enter their own description and images but the entire thing is placed on "hold" until approved by admins.

I was just wondering if there is something like that for zencart...or if found could it be ported to zencart

Check out custom script z DOT com for a mod called Custom Zen, this mod gives a separate folder area for merchants/providers to upload their own products, plus has a queueing feature for products uploaded

You'll still have to create ftp access though for them to upload the zips to the server

thanks I will go see what it is about. I already have ftp for each one so they have their privacy but wanted to be able to set teir own descriptions and images.

There is a free addon called Admin Profiles that allows access but restricted to areas you designate, but that still means giving access to the main admin so I think the custom scriptz one is better which in my original post custom scriptz is all one word...my post was edited even though I didn't link it LOL :blush:

thanks hun, I went to get the info...wow it is expensive. I have to get with my partners...they hold the loot even if I help make up their minds...lol

we are still new and just starting to get orders so may need to wait a bit to justify it...but I am sure eventually we may get it. cause mainly I love this software for its ease of learning and modifying but for the tech support given by both the makers and the members.

lol yeah, it's not cheap...I can guarantee you it is worth the initial outlay though. I use it on my A Moment In Scrap site and it's so nice not having to either do all the product adding myself or worry about the alternative of letting too many ppl into my main admin section :P
