Problem uploading images on new server.

Hi there,

We've recently had to restore from our backups onto a new server because the old server's hard drive died.

Since we've done this we can't upload any images from the back end of zencart on any of our shopping cart sites. It doesn't come up with any errors, just doesn't upload the image to the server or write in the database. When i try to add the image using "Image Handler" it writes to the database but still doesn't upload the image.

I'm thinking this is due to a server setting or something not correct on it.

Just wondering if anyone might know what it is.

Check settings
admin > tools > server/version info

Check with your host - if you have selected one that supports ZenCart???

It's our own dedicated server but i've never had this issue before except on the latest build.

Obviously we havn't got a mod loaded but i'm not sure which one.

Check the permissions on the /images folders
For security I lock them down so one can not upload to them
Maybe yours are also not writeable???

This might also be relevant if you have applied the security patches
