This all means nothing to me.
I have redownloaded the latest version of zencart and reinstalled all the paypal files.
This hasnt changed anything, even though some of the file were differnt sizes.
Are all the updates included in the latest version??? or am I missing something. Have searched the forum but I can only find updates for paypal that are for version7.
Hopefully you can help

Re: White page after customer has confirmed order with PayPal

I wanted to confirm version was 1.3.8a. I tried by clicking "version" tab in admin and got "HTTP Error 502.2 - Bad Gateway" in red. Complete page of red writing i think indicating errors(can paste if all required)
This is my first ZenCart site. Every other aspect of the site works really well.
The only addins are Google Analytics and MYSHOPPING.com that was put in the footer of the main page.
I have searched forError502.2 but found nothing. Have searched and read many simiar errors in the forum and attempted many suggested solutions.
One other thing that may or may not be relivent, I tried the Sandbox in Paypal and that had the same result.
The support at Paypal cant see any transactions so they belive its prior to reaching them.
Host server has confirmed all OK

Re: White page after customer has confirmed order with PayPal

No idea if this is relevant but in a different thread one person received a 502 Bad gateway message because of incorrect permissions on the folders (although their were other big issues with the rest of that server configuration). You might want to FTP in right click the folders and check if the permissions at 0755 for folders and 0655 for files, it maybe that some log file is trying to be written to a location where the webserver has no access. I'd try

includes/modules/payment/paypal/logs

first.

Right you are running a Windows Server and IIS which makes things a lot more tricky. Any idea which version of PHP you have ? since the "version" page isn't working, the easiest way is to create a PHP page like anything.php with this in it, no white space at the top and no end tag.

<?php

phpinfo();

and place it in your shop and then visit it with your web browser.

Re: White page after customer has confirmed order with PayPal

Not sure if this is what you ment fo me to do. I found this page and it had something like what you exampled.

<?php /** * ipn_main_handler.php callback handler for paypal IPN payment method * * @package paymentMethod * @copyright Copyright 2003-2007 Zen Cart Development Team * @copyright Portions Copyright 2003 osCommerce * @license <http://www.zen-cart.com/license/2_0.txt> GNU Public License V2.0 * @version $Id: ipn_main_handler.php 7497 2007-11-27 06:20:27Z drbyte $ */ Hope this version Id is what you spoke of.

Re: White page after customer has confirmed order with PayPal

No not at all, you need to create a page on your computer, ftp it to your website and then visit with your web bowser, this will then list all the details of your server like the PHP version and whether it is running through cgi or ISAPI on IIS. This is technical debug information that's probably going to be needed to work out what the problem is.

Re: White page after customer has confirmed order with PayPal

Download this and follow the instructions (making sure that the cache folder is writeable):

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=860

this will dump an error file to the cache folder and should help you or us debug. It's a windows server, PHP 5.2.0 (rather buggy) so the 502.2 errors are probably to do with a folder not being writeable or something similar, you haven't put the 5.3 bug fixes in have you ?
