Attributes separate stock / kitting / category pricing

Hi!
I have 5 products and the 6th product is a combination (family pack) of the first 5. I am trying to figure out a way to keep inventory accurate / automated and to export (accurately) a 'family pack' using export order/shipping info mod which exports orders '1 Product per row' (For example: 1 order - 3 rows for 3 products in that order).

Here's what I've come up with but I'm not able to get what I need. We've several hundreds of orders a day and this is becoming a nightmare to import to our shipping system.

1. I've installed attributes separate stock mod, but ...
   I can't link the first 5 products to the "attributes stock" makeing 2 places where I need to count stock for item 1 (not such a big deal though). However, when I export, there is only 1 product line (with 4 attributes - so i need to separate this for every one).

2. I thought of having the 'family pack' as a category, but I would need a way to price the category.

What I need is a 'make your own kit' product where I can select options (products).

Any thoughts?
