Amin area keeps asking for installation/

I have a very unique problem. I just moved my site from localhost to online server. I updated the both the configure files. Now my site is showing proper but when i tried to go to my admin area it shows me the installation screen.Ofcourse i have deleted my installation folder. Both my files are on chmod 644. I even tried the fix my cache file to see if the sessions from before were causing this. But still it is showing me the same screen. Would anyone know the solution for this? thanks .

Did you follow ALL the steps HERE?

Try changing the chmod to 444 and make sure the zcinstall folder is deleted (or at least renamed)

yes i followed all the steps from that site. I even tried changing the configure file to chmod 444 but that didnt work either. I have done the same thing on a different server and it has worked fine, dont know why it is not working here?

on a second thought...could it have anything to do with the patch i used on zencart on my localhost when i did the install?

Could be. What patch was it? But, then again, I doubt it since it's only your admin side you're having problems with.
What version is you Zen-Cart?
What version is your server's php?
What version is your server's SQL?

I guess you, checked and double-checked all your server paths in admin/includes/configure.php to reflect your new server?

I know you've done this before, but I've saw people in this forum that's done this a hundred times over and get stumped because of one little comma,period, slash, etc.

Also, you probably set up your localhost without SSL. Do you have SSL on your new live server? Could that path not be set correctly?

Just today, I got a blank page.........luckily I had just edited 1 file and uploaded it..........my problem? I forgot to add the / before an apostrophe. PHP doesn't like that so well.
