Shipping to continental US and AK, HI using zone rates

How do I do this? lol

So I have zone rates set up, and under Zone 1 countries I have "US". My question is, how do I change the rates for only Alaska and Hawaii and keep the others the same?

I have tried setting up zone 2 using "AK" and "HI" but this does not work.

I would really appreciate your guys' help!

I find lots of useful tips here just by searching and Im sure this is in this forum as well, but haven't quite found it yet.

If someone could just explain it to me, that'd be wonderful

Thanks,

souk

To break down Zones in more detail than just by country, you may wish to search the Free Software Add Ons for:
Zone Table

There is an add on where you can build your individual zones and then setup the shipping module based on those zone definitions rather than just be limited to the countries ...

Re: Shipping to continental US and AK, HI using zone rates

I tried that but I couldn't find it. The only thing that was close to what I wanted to do is the 7 zones addon. I don't even know how to install that.

Anyway I forgot to mention that I am I using shipping by weight.. but I want to use shipping by weight and zone. Still don't know how to do that. Continental USA one zone and then AK and HI another zone using zone rates and weight.

I need help!!

Thanks!

I believe that is the one you want:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=695

Then make your Zone Definitions and install this and add each Zone and its rates based on weight ...

Re: Shipping to continental US and AK, HI using zone rates

It is setup with the same structure as Zen Cart ...

The directory:
/includes

gets loaded over top of the existing directory
/includes

and the files will load to the correct directories ...

Then, before actually installing it in the Modules ... Shipping ... create your Zone Definitions that you need ...

Once your Zone Definitions are made, you can install the shipping module and then configure your Zones ...

Thanks for the update that because the Free Software Add On was correctly structured to match the Zen Cart structure, that you were able to install this easily to your site ...
