Confirm Order Button Missing in Explorer 8

I cannot check explorer 7 or 6 since i do not have them here...but I know the Confirm Order Button is clearly there in FF, Opera and Safari but I cannot see it on Explorer 8 - and there is no text at all where the image should be either to allow the customer to complete the order....this is a pretty bad problem!

I do have the FEC and COWOA mods installed.....

Any ideas on this? SInce the button is there in other browsers I am not sure what to look at!

Would also GREATLY appreciate is someone can do a quick security test in Explorer 7....I think i am still getting errors at the login page in explore...but cannot test it since I do not have explorer 7.....pretty please?!?!?!?

First, if you have IE8, you can emulate IE7 by clicking the Compatibility View button just to the right of the address bar.

Second, I'm getting a security error message when I navigate to the link you provided, before I log in (looks like you're using a shared cert).

Third, I'm seeing a big green 'Place Order' button at the bottom of your one-page checkout in IE6, 7 and8.

Fourth, in IE7 and 8, I'm seeing Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time. Please contact us for alternate arrangements. in the shipping section (I used a Chicago address). That message doesn't appear in IE6, for some reason. I didn't actually check out in any browser.

Fifth - I've never seen a Zencart store that didn't have a Contact Us page. Could you explain your thinking there?

Thanks SO MUCH Steve! I did not even know that about IE8 - so thanks for that! It's weird though I can see th ebutton when I click the compatabiilty view but when its unchecked I do not see it...very odd

I found that issue last night about the shipping error - apparently I set some items to always free shipping by accident....I will have to go through every product to turn that off...do you happen to remember which product you put in the cart?

Contact us is in footer I called it customer service and there is a toll free number under the logo....but looks like a Contact Us link will need to be added to the header....THANK YOU!

As far as the SSL this is the one thing no matter how many sites I build I still cannot get me head around....I am not seeing any errors in any of my browsers so I cannot figure it out...the padlock comes up with no lines through it and everything seems ok here?!?

I have used GoDaddy on other sites with no problems...

Did it give you a specific error......someone else mentioned the issued but without seeing it I cannot fix it!

Sorry, I don't remember what I had in the cart.

I only asked about the Contact Us because most people here will jump through hoops to avoid having a telephone number for customers, but you seem to prefer they call rather than fill out the regular Contact Us form.

Now I'm not getting the SSL error or the shipping thing.

I have to go through every product so its good - I am just thrilled you are not getting the SSL anymore - and yes I am encouraging people to call...I have a call center set up so they always reach a live person who can help them if I am not available....but I do think the contact us should be up there too so I appreciate the thought!

Jill- I have no idea if this is related, but when clicking around the site, the pages take forever to fully load ( and I am on a very fast connection) - I am seeing connecting to statscounter.com in the progress bar.

Thanks Kim, I did notice that too.....I thought it was just me....I checked the page download time and it seemed good though....I will remove the statcounter and see if that makes it any faster...thanks for your feedback!
