Download link in succes page???

I followed the steps described in "Downloadable Products Tutorial" at

but there is no download link in the success page after payment.
How to add this so that the ebook can immediately be downloaded after redirecting to succes page of zencart shop by paypal?

1. Are you indeed uploading a .zip file and do you get a green light in the attributes area that indicates the file exists?

2. Check your paypal express checkout configuration on the following: (correct setting is highlighted in red)

You also need to be sure your PayPal Express module is set to use "Processing[2]" as the Order Status.

Download links do not show if the order you're referring to isn't in a suitable status. This is also outlined in the FAQs on downloadable products.

It is working at last although I first had to put the Order Status to Delivered[3] (something wrong with this???)

But now I have next problem: the download link doesn't give the right path but something like http://pub/.tempfolder/filename.zip

Where do I change that please?

There should be a button the customer needs to click to get the download. The link to where the download is will not show - because you don't want people to see where your downloads are. As long as you have uploaded the zip file into your zen cart directory into the DOWNLOADS folder, and you see a green light indicating the file is there... they should just be able to click the download button and the download will begin.

To double check and make sure you have the download set up correctly, in your admin, go to Catalog>Downloads Manager and make sure you see the file with the green dot next to it.

I see a small green cirkle indeed and I do have download buttons after paypal checkout now, but when I click on them I get an error page from firefox that the server can't be found. Not even when I right click on the button I get a download.

Nevertheless when you hover over the buttons you see the complete download link in the status bar.

After a look in both the configure.php's I remarked the directory 'pub' isn't mentioned ones in the admin's configure.php, only in the catalog's configure.php. Do you think I should add the path in the one configuration file?

Further I remarked the success link is NO secure link, although I filled in a secure auto return link in paypal. I have enabled SSL afterwards manually in configure.php (2x) because I must have skipped this at the installation as I never worked with it before. I hope I didn't do wrong with this.

You should not have to alter your configure files for the download as far as where the download is stored. However... you can check both your configure files and make sure that the correct path to the files are shown... eg: here is a part of the catalog/includes/configure file.. (this is a server with Cpanel)

Also check the permissions for the /download folder and make sure it is set to 755

As for the SSL - as long as you have an SSL certificate installed, you just need to change the lines in your configure.php files to true

I checked it out and in public_html/includes/configure.php it is as you say.

What happens is next: When you click the button the original link
'http://www.domain.com//index.php?main_page=download&order=xx&id=xx'
is replaced by
'http://pub/.temp_dir/file _to_download.zip'

This gives a firefox error something like that the server couldn't be found.

When I add my domain manually in my browser so that it becomes
'http://www.domain.com//pub/.temp_dir/file _to_download.zip'
I get my download.

So it is the 'http://www.domain.com//index.php?main_page=download&order=xx&id=xx' url that is wrongly replaced.

Since you're saying the domain name is getting dropped, it looks like you've got bad content in your HTTP_SERVER and/or HTTPS_SERVER settings in your configure.php files.

It's working at last after I changed (in configure.php in the catalog)

into

define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/');

That suggests that you've got an invalid setting for DIR_WS_CATALOG or maybe you also relocate your /pub/ folder.
