we currently have over 1800+ items listed on eBay and i want to import all these items into zen cart , can it be done ? ... via the CSV or is there a easier tool? ...

I am not familiar with eBay stores or what format the data exists in...
But I will bet dollars to doughnuts that it is no way near to the format that ZenCart's DB is.
The data will have to be formatted into a ZenCart acceptable form
The best free tool for this is a 3rd party module "Easy Populate" available in the free software area - -
There is also a tutorial in the wiki and I suggest that you create a test store make db backups and play there until you have mastered using this tool before you move to your eventual shop DB
