Yes you can, what I did on my site is made a EZ-Pages then input the imbedded youtube code in.

Thanks, i will try that. It works on the define_main_page.php but everytime i switched page it would stop and when i returned to the home page it would start it again, making the screen redraw at the same time.
oh, how do I make an "ez_page"?
I await your thoughtful response.

I've looked at the twice and still don't understand "internal links". How do i structure them?
I await your thoughtful response.

What do you mean structure?

You don't worry about the links part of the EZ page setup unless you don't want content on the page. EZ pages have content or internal/external links, not both.

The manual says that EZ-Pages are great for the novice. how can I be missing this fly on my nose? If I don't edit the link fields, how do I place the content of the EZ-Pages where I want it to appear?

EZ pages are actual pages in themselves. They aren't a way of adding content to other pages.
When you create an EZ page, you put your content in the big box labelled 'HTML Content', select where you want it to display, add a name for the page and click 'Update'.
The links boxes at the bottom can be used if you want to have a link in the EZ pages sidebox that links to an existing internal page, or an external URL.
Try it both ways, activate the ezpages sidebox and see how it works.

yep its very easy... just upload to youtube and then take the code and paste into a ez-page or product.

Remember to add a http://www.link to your video description for a link back from youtube ;)

Hi, I want to do something slightly different. I'm a self-taught novice but have been muddling through with the help of this incredibly useful forum.
I have created an E-Z Page called Youtube. I have also added a blank_sidebox which I have called Youtube. At the moment the sidebox has links to youtube which open in a new page. The Youtube E-Z Page is currently empty.
I would like to have the user click on the link in the sidebox and have it play directly (embedded?) in my website much the way this one does http://www.rubberduckbathrooms.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=page&id=15&chapter=1&zenid=55ca69c612321be55b671654b252a6af
I don't want the user being taken to another site, I want these to link up with the Youtube E-Z Pages.
Is this possible? Am I doing it the hard way?
If it's not asking too much I would also like the person I am building the website for to be able to easily edit and add to these links in the future.
Thanks in advance for all your help!
Sue :)

Please also be aware that before I found the blank_sidebox mod I was trying to create my own sidebox so there is some youtube crap in my website at the moment, I know about them and will be getting rid of them. Please ignore these unless they are interfering with what I have to do.

I'm currently working on this so if you want to have a look remember I am still making changes, but if it's helpful, here is the link http://www.evanscreations.com.au/paradance/zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007/index.php?main_page=page&id=3&chapter=10

Example of a **Google video embedded** in a product page
The code was simply added in the FCKeditor by clicking the source button, adding the code at the appropriate place within the chunk of html and then saved.
YouTube code would be embedded just the same way
NOTE: We are sorry that Frank is no longer with us.
We are grateful for all his contributions to the Zen Cart community.

This is my site and the link you pointing 2 is simple and can be doone in minutes.
The left link is the side box is an EZ-page side box link which links to the EZ-page. on the ezpage the youtube vid is just the embed code from youtubve itself just copy and past onto the page and hay presto you have you link to your new page with the video on.
The just add some text etc for the search engines etc to read and jobs a good un
