My first sale and having issues. Please help

I just made my first sale a few minutes ago. However, it says that they paid with a CC and I only have my site setup to accept PayPal. I checked my PayPal account and the money isn't there. Is there a way that I have to accept the payment before it shows up or something?

Thank you for any help.

Re: My first sale and having issues. Please help

It is not usual I tried to checkout with an item and I was taking to Paypal.

By the way You need to optimize your website checkout process and create account page. Why do you need my salutation or my date of birth. Plus I recommend using the drop down for the states as not a lot of people actually know how to fully spell their state name.

Personally not a fan of dark background even if you sell coffin wear It bother the eye to look at black background.

I assume that it's supposed to take you to PayPal since I only accept Paypal. Could you explain about optimizing my checkout process and create an account page? I'm still quite new to this so any help is greatly appreciated.

Check in your Zen Cart control panel, and see if the default Credit Card module has been activated. If it has then someone may have hacked your site so as to get people to enter credit card details and collect them for illegal use.

If you have enabled Pay Pal Website Payments Pro then that does say "Credit Card" as the method of payment - but you have to have a Website Payments Pro account with Pay Pal.

Thanks Vger. Yea the Paypal Pro was enabled along with PayPal Express. I've now only got Express enabled. Assuming that was the problem, how would I go about collecting the payment? I did get a couple of emails with part of the cc number in each one.

If you are using any PayPal method, you shouldn't be getting cc numbers in email. Please check the settings in the admin and check if you've been hacked.

First you want to disable the salutation and the birth date as they are useless. Remember you want to only collect information that are necessary to complete the sale anything else is not necessary.

If you only going to use express checkout and don't want customer to create account you might want to remove the checkout link from the header and make the Paypal Checkout button stand out. Maybe write information to the customer on the shopping cart page to tell them that they can checkout with PayPal without the need to have a PayPal account, a lot of people don't know that.

You can read through the forum on how to optimize the checkout process. Don't make me (the customer) think tell me what to do to complete the sale.
