Shipping advice - best method

Hi all, I could do with some advice on the best way to go with regards to my shipping options

I have a number of paid options all based on weight increments. (6 in total) and 1 free post option to my own country

UK - Next day Paid (Royal Mail)
UK - 1/2 day Private Courier Paid
UK - 3/5 day Standard Free
Channel Islands - 1/2 day Priority Service Paid
Channel Islands - 3/5 day Standard Paid
Europe Paid
USA Paid

My question is whats the best way to configure this?
Shoudl I just add more zones to the Zone Rate Method?
Would the Zones Table Rate (for Multiple Zones) addon be more suitable?
Should I do zones for the paid options and then do 1 free shipping options?

Or any other ideas please?

I get round the complex array of RM and ParcelForce rates/destinations by using several clones of the zonetables module (See free addons).
