More than one Flat Rate for Shipping

I have a client that wants to add several different products to their store. Some items will have $10 flat rate shipping and then a couple of others will need to have $5 flat rate shipping. How can I set that up?

Re: More than one Flat Rate for Shipping

Ok, I did what it said and now under Shipping Modules I have flatone and flattwo but how to I "assign" one to a product?

Flat rate shipping is $10.00
Flatone is $5.00

How do I set the correct shipping to the correct products?

Re: More than one Flat Rate for Shipping

What might work better is the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module ...

Setup the shipping module for a rate of: 5.00

Set the Maximum Weight Shipped to: 5000

Set both Tare Rates to: 0:0

On the Products set the weight to 1 when they are $5.00 and 2 when they are $10.00 ...

NOTE: for flexibility, you may wish to consider this alternate setup:

Setup the shipping module for a rate of: 1.00

Set the Maximum Weight Shipped to: 5000

Set both Tare Rates to: 0:0

On the Products set the weight to 5 when they are $5.00 and 10 when they are $10.00 ...

This allows for future changes if you decide a product is $3.00 shipping ...

NOTE: this is based on the Product Quantity * Product Weight * Per Unit Charge ...

If you want to have Product 3 to be $5.00 whether I order 1 or 12 and Product 7 to be $10.00 whether I order 1 or 12 ... then you will need a more customized shipping method to manage this ...

Re: More than one Flat Rate for Shipping

I have it set up that way and for some reason it works when they purchase just one but when I tried to purchase 6 it doesn't calculate correctly?

here is my sitehttp://www.upm75.com If you try to purchase 6 of the UPM 75 Pitching machines it should charge $120 in shipping (that is $20 per unit x 6 = 120) but it charges $185??? The shipping estimator shows it correctly but when you go to checkout it is $185.

Re: More than one Flat Rate for Shipping

Are you just looking at the shipping estimator or are you going through the entire order process (up to the page where you would confirm your order) when you look at the shipping estimator it shows correctly but when you get to the page where you would actually process your order is when it's different.
