Group Pricing or Dual Pricing-Wholesale???

I'm setting up a new cart and am not sure which pricing option to install. Running 1.3.8a.

My site will cater to three different type customers; Retail, Wholesale and Distributors. Each obviously, at a different price level. I would like Guest visitors and Retail visitors to see one price, and Wholesale another price and Distributors a third price. But, I don't want a group to be able to see a lower price level.

I've been looking at two different mods, but I'm not sure which would work better for my needs.

Group Pricing or Dual Pricing-Wholesale.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I ended up using Group Pricing per Item.
Works great! I actually ended up with four groups of buyers and I can set them up with ease. Each group gets their own price on each item, or you can set a % off for each group from the retail price.

i am using version 1.3.9b and my wholesale pricing has dissaperd. i tried to reinstall and i get: Failed: 3
ERROR: Cannot ADD column customers_whole because it already exists.
ERROR: Cannot ADD column products_price_w because it already exists.
ERROR: Cannot ADD column options_values_price_w because it already exists.
Note: 3 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.

i had all the prices set so i am pretty upset. what can i do to fix this and get wholesale working again?:no:

You say in your post that you could set a %off for each group, can you tell me how you did this as it seems to be a Price Per Item only on this module, otherwise you have to use the standard %off that Zen cart comes with? My problem is I want to show the discounted price to the customer when they log in not when they get to the shopping cart.

Ditto... Any chance there will be a dual pricing for 1.3.9?

I installed "Group Pricing Per Item" on my ZenCart 1.3.8.
I did all (I think...) I asked in the instruction in:

When Im making an order:
In the Shopping Cart, the right Sub-Total is OK (With the group price discount), BUT, when I continu to the checkout pages it display the original regular price (not the group)
why?
