Weird characters on top page

Anyone know how to get rid of those character in my zencart page?

thats UTF-8 BOM signature . you editing your files with editor set to UTF-8 character encoding . zencart files are set to ISO_8859-1 . although you still can edit while your editor is set to uft-8 , you should disable BOM signature from within editor .

those character will have some effect on your pages , specially rendering CSS correctly .

Hi Tony,

I'm using ultraedit to modify the css and dreamweaver to edit the php page, what should i do now?

***a. re-open all .css file and edit it again using other software editing? ( any recommendations? )

b. Re-edit all files including the .php in dreamweaver and upload it again?

c. any how to change existing editor to make it comply with zen cart standard utf?***

Finally the problem solved,

what i do is i modified the language file in includes/languages/english.php at this line:

i change it to utf-8.

hopefully someone get benefit from this.
