Paypal Auto Return (No paypal account)

Hi Guys and Gals,

Question here, not really ZC specific, more Paypal specific.

A customers been having trouble receiving PayPal orders. I tested the site out and everythings gravy. The only reason I can think of is that when they pay using the 'No PayPal account' facility, PayPal doesn't auto-redirect the customer back to the store.

So my question is this: I know how to turn on the auto return for customers WITH accounts, just not how to turn on the auto return for customers WITHOUT accounts.

How is this possible?

When the merchant is using the Website Payments Standard (IPN) method of accepting payments, and the customer doesn't have a PayPal account, then after payment is completed, PayPal presents the customer with a choice of 2 options: "Would you like to save your info to create a PayPal account for future transactions?" Yes or No.
If the customer doesn't make a choice (or just closes their browser or clicks to another page), then the customer is NEVER returned to the merchant's store, AND the IPN is never sent to the merchant.
If the customer chooses either yes or no, then they will be returned back to the merchant and things will work as expected.
It's just the way they wrote it to work. I've asked them to change it many times, but they've still not acted on it.

I strongly recommend Express Checkout instead, since it's designed for online stores. The old "Website Payments Standard" approach is an adaptation to bolt-on archaic functionality designed for paypal's internal store system to try and make it work with other online stores. It's got significant limitations. Express is much more mature and contemporary.
