irc chat?

Does this forum have a live irc chat room anywhere. Everytime i log on there is always 400-600 people trolling the forums. Im thinking alot of question could possible be answered by the community if we had a irc live chat room we could discuss matters in. Also maybe there is one already here but ive not stumbled onto it yet.

At one time I recall there was one on freenode.net

Its use was discouraged by other forum members though.
