Re: Page colours

Er...

New colours for what exactly?

There are a few hundred instances in the stylesheets where colours are controlled...

Re: Page colours

I would like to change the actual header and overall make the site turquoise and lettuce green (sounds horrible I know) :)

Re: Page colours

Helpers on the forum have to make some basic assumptions about the skill levels of people seeking assistance, and there is a general "base level" which is applied.

We have to assume that forum users have at least a basic understanding of website principles, including:

  1. Understanding how directory levels and file levels work, and relate to each other.

  2. A very basic understanding of how the code files interact with each other and the database

  3. An understanding of Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) - one of the more important areas.

  4. An understanding of basic HTML principles, including the filenames given to images (gif, jpg, png)...

The forum cannot teach you these skills, and you will have to look for tutorials and advice/help elsewhere... There are many places on the WWW offering good tutoring.

So, for example, one of your questions relates to changing colours...

Have you any idea what I'm talking about if I say:

"Seek out the DIV ID's or Classes relevant to the element you wish to change and insert an appropriate hex code..."

... does that make any sense to you?

If not, then some external tutoring is essential...
