Adding internal field to Admin

I would like to add a field to the admin orders page that shows me my internal inventory number, besides the item part number, that is associated with the item sold.

I upload my inventory via EP. I need a new field for my internal inventory number.

I need to see this number in the orders page but not have it sent to the customer.

Make sense, any ideas?

I also need to do this. Can anyone advise on how to add additional product fields that the customer doesn't see, but can be searched on the back end?

I too am looking for a way to add a field or two to the Product Administration pages, that would allow me to record some text information including like product vendor, product costs, etc. It can all be in one text field, but I need the ability to view/update from the product category editing page.

Look for Product Extra Fields under Free Software Add Ons. Even if you don't need most of what it does, it'll show you how to add what you want.
