Editing remote site in Crimson Editor

I am new to this and I have set up a dummy site to learn the ropes of Zen-Cart. I can access my data by connecting via Crimson Editor SVN263 but when I attempt to open a php file using the 'remote' feature, CE crashes every time. I can download the file with Filezilla, edit it in CE and upload it back but shouldn't I be able to do all that in CE? Thanks.

Zen-Cart v1.3.8
'Silverfish' template

I can download the file with Filezilla, edit it in CE and upload it back
That is the preferred safe method

Re: Editing remote site in Crimson Editor

Crimson Editor isn't an FTP program. It's an editor. The file has to be on your computer to be edited with Crimson Editor. You can then upload the modified file with an FTP client like Filezilla.

Re: Editing remote site in Crimson Editor

Actually, it has a built-in FTP program, but it doesn't work for me, either, and Windows Firewall doesn't like it.
