Re: how to change/modify the links in side boxes?

Twaddle:

Sounds like you need this mod - http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=686 - Editable Sideboxes

This is a better piece of advice for the original question:

https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=242

You can also use EZPages to create extra content, or links (both internal and external). EZPages are a good option for creating quick pages without having to edit and php code.

One thing I should add, EZ-Pages are not searchable... never did work out why, but it's something to bear in mind

It seems you enjoy speaking what your forum name suggests. :D

The original post refders to the More Information sidebox where the default links are Page_2, Page_3 etc...

I point the OP to the tutorial that shows how these names are changed.

If you give an incorrect answer, not only do you confuse the person looking for help, but do not feel offended when someone points that out and provides an alternative answer.

I have occasionally given incorrect advice (as can anyone) but am mature enough to take subsequent criticism and acknowledge my error. That is better etiquette, surely?

You see, again you are incorrect. If you do not know the answer to something, please do not venture to offer more twaddle...

Re: how to change/modify the links in side boxes?

I never said you are incorrect. I simply pointed out first another option, then made an accurate comment about ez-pages not being searchable. That you then post a link to a mod that makes it searchable is all and good. I'm only offering help, perhaps I won't bother in future if all we are doing is trying to score points off each other

Damn, I just realised, you can't think out of the box, so probably couldn't deduce what the OP was asking.

I'll give in now and let you have your way, even if it's wrong ;)

My point is quite simple, and appropriate not just for you, but everyone - including me...

If a forum user puts up the wrong advice - (which you have just done TWICE in this thread) - be gracious enough to admit it, and then concede that the help the original poster was seeking may be more appropriately answered by any corrections that other users suggest.

That is proper etiquette. It's not about point scoring. It's about giving appropriate advice.

I'll take your silence to mean you admit you were wrong then?

Re: how to change/modify the links in side boxes?

Having read this post, I think I am on schoolboy's side...

Twaddle's advice is not correct. The original question referred to the More Information sidebox where (by default) the links show as Page 2, Page 3, ... etc.

Schoolboy correctly pointed willharr to the answer.

I give in. That neither of you are capable of thinking out of the box is your problem.
