how can I improve shopping cart layout?

Is there a way to improve shopping cart layout?

I find the shopping cart is to narrow and it does not give enough room for adding company log.

I'd like to improve the shopping cart layout.

And, how can I make the customer to fill some billing information, address, etc., before the customer leave to Paypal to make a payment.

If you are using PayPal Express, you can not require the customer to register before they pay.

Re: how can I improve shopping cart layout?

Thanks for this information. So, if I use Paypal business edition, then it will work as I would love to see. Am I right? or Do you suggest other options?

Thanks

Re: how can I improve shopping cart layout?

to fix the layout issue in firefox, you just to change the code:

.header_t2 .row1 {
height:96px;
}

to

.header_t2 .row1 {
height:120px;
}

in your css file

As far the shopping cart layout, is there out there any good mods that will improve the look of the customer cart?

Thanks

i think it's based on graphics design.
if you simpy want to beautify the checkout pages(including shoppingcart page), i recommend you to install the module ORDER STEPS.

Re: how can I improve shopping cart layout?

Gotcha. Thanks for your suggestions.

Following this conversation, I have notices also the shipping charges are not necessarily accurate. First, I’m not sure if is because there is no UPS account setup or I have something miss configured. But, most definitive, if this information is incorrect, I could be losing revenue by giving the customer the wrong shipping charges.

Re: how can I improve shopping cart layout?

I'm not sure. I think everything is setup like is supposed to. But this option is not been displayed as a shipping method during checkout. The dot right next to UPS is not green but amber color.

You need to make sure your zones are defined correctly and you have the UPS module setup correctly.

If you think your developer (who is not us :P) will not see this thread you are probably wrong. Fact is just like anything else, buyer beware and you pay for the things you cannot or will not do yourself.

My ice maker went out on my fridge, the plumber charged me $175.00 just to come out and look at it.... I paid for his expertise and I understand that.

You saved yourself some cash by seeking out free help, that does NOT make your developer a snake.

Re: how can I improve shopping cart layout?

I agree with Melanie. My experience in Zen Cart is decent but every once in a while I seek the commercial help of other members such as yourself.

Members need to understand that help provided here is on our time and we do it as payback for Zen Cart developers (At least that's why I help people here) but sometimes things require time which we can't spend for FREE.

I have mods that took me months to test and bug and when I tell a client it would cost $x amount they are answer is always "It is already make, why do you need to charge me this much".

lions1855 template is a mess typical TemplateMonster template, I think he should revert back to classic template or one of the free ones, that would be a good start.
