Contact Us won't send e-mails on GoDaddy

Hello,
I have the latest version of Zen Cart installed on a Godaddy hosting... windows.
I twisted my brains and tried different answers in this forum but I'm not able to make that form working... Please help.
I read here somewhere to clean the E-mail Drop Down List... where to I have to go to do that?

OK, I bought the book for Zen cart, I called GoDaddy, they told me I should not use SMTP or SMTPAUTH even if I'm on a windows hosting I should have PHP and the problem is in my scripting... and I should not really use a port...
I am new to php and zen cart I thought it will be a matter of going through admin panel and setup things... can someone point me where to go and what to do to have this working?

As per staying away from hosting account... Kobra... is to late now for me and I am just a simple man... the migrating thing will be to huge for me to handle... I'm not a php guru... just a newbie who wants to do something nice... we'll see the final result... still working on it but I'm so glad I've got that e-mai working....

No matter your current state of knowledge...
To successfully operate an online shop one needs to maintain a copy of all their current files and perform a Database backup daily
Don't do it and there will be a time where you wish you had and ca be the cause of your shop closing for a time as though you had a fire or some other normal catastrophe if it were brick & mortar.

Now with those 2 items, you can move anywhere in short time.

They are a good "general" host if all you require is sharing photos with family or just have static html pages.

You will suffer lost sales - isn't sales your goal? - due to site slowness as customers will just not wait and will shop elsewhere

Some of the recommended hosts will move your zencart for you if you host with them.

And if you really struggle, there are many people who can help you. You can send me a PM if you really, really struggle - moving a site does require a bit of skill, but is not usually a difficult or time-consuming activity. If I am not too busy I may be able to help.

How does one test the speed of a host such as Godaddy and then compare it to other hosts? My host is Godaddy and the speed has not been an issue as far as I know. After reading what you wrote, I started to get worried:ohmy:, but I don´t know how to compare the product I have with other available hosting products.

Enable the page parse time and average them

admin > config > logging > display parse time > enable

Yes, this displays the mysql time(query) and the server time to ready the page for delivery - - Not the transit time to the requester

Anyone hosting a Zen Cart on GoDaddy really should look for other options. Hosting it on Windows leaves you open to possible security holes, Linux is better, but it's still GoDaddy.

GoDaddy returned tons of database errors, timed out processing cards, was slow as death...and any problem I had was due to my scripting.

All my fault, they claimed none of it.

Yet when I switched hosts to HostGator, copying the entire folder contents from one to the other, my problems stopped.

GoDaddy may be okay to host static html pages. Running ZenCart on GoDaddy servers is financial suicide.
